Martina Azar, PhD

Bilingual Neuropsychologist, Consultant

Dr. Martina Azar earned her bachelor's degree in Human Development from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She earned her master’s and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Azar then completed her internship in Clinical Psychology in the Clinical Neuropsychology track and her postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the VA Boston Healthcare System. She also previously completed an advanced geriatrics fellowship at the New England Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center, Veteran Health Affairs in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Azar currently works as a bilingual (Spanish-English) clinical neuropsychologist at Brown University Health in Rhode Island and holds a faculty position as Clinical Instructor at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University. She also works as clinical neuropsychologist at Boston Neuropsychological Services, LLC as well Integrated Behavioral Care, LLC. Her work centers around the intersection of brain-behavior relationships, aging, and outcomes that matter most to patients, families, clinicians, and health systems. She is passionate about brain health education and literacy, bilingual community outreach, and providing culturally responsive clinical services to sociodemographically underserved and neurologically or psychiatrically complex adult and geriatric populations. She is also interested in applying her clinical expertise to industry, research, and innovation settings focused on neuroscience, aging, and patient outcomes.
