Dr. Glenn E. Smith is Professor in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida and Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. A board-certified neuropsychologist, Dr. Smith has authored or co-authored over 280 original articles, 23 book chapters, and 2 books on the neuropsychology of cognitive aging and dementia. He co-created the HABIT® Healthy Action to Benefit Independence and Thinking program, which is designed to benefit people diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). He serves as an Appeals Advisory Panel Consultant for the NFL Concussion Settlement program. He is past president of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Society of Clinical Neuropsychology, and the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology, and past Chair of the APA Committee on Aging. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Nebraska, completed an internship at UCLA and a fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
